Ozzy Osbourne was a world-renowned rock artist known as the “Prince of Darkness.” Ozzy is known for being particularly crazy, doing many psychotic things like biting the head off of a living bat and even going as far as snorting a line of ants. Yungblud, personally known as Dominic Harrison, is a twenty-eight-year-old rockstar. He started making music at a very young age and began performing in 2015 when he was eighteen years old.Yungblud is most famous for his songs “Parents” and “Zombie” and Ozzy in his band Black Sabbath for the songs “Crazy Train” and “War Pig.”
Ozzy met Yungblud for the first time in 2022 for Yungblud’s hit song “The Funeral.” Yungblud had asked Ozzy to make a guest appearance in the music video for this song, but while on set, they became very close. Ozzy had said that Yungblud became like a son to him, finding very similar qualities to his younger self. So they kept in touch.
At Ozzy’s final performance, Yungblud sang a stellar rendition of “Changes,” in honor of Ozzy and his time in Black Sabbath. This is where Yungblud’s fame started. Some people say that it may have been the best cover of all time. After Ozzy’s passing, Yungblud swore to sing it every night until the day he died.
Then at the 2025 VMAs, Yungblud, alongside Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, performed a tribute to Ozzy, performing “Crazy Train,” ”Changes,” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” This performance was absolutely amazing and had many artists shocked with the power and emotion put into it.
A few weeks later, Aerosmith and Yungblud collaborated on a new song called “My Only Angel.” This was them trying to show that rock is rock, new or old. It’s a genre of music meant to bring people together, to create a community and bring hope and joy to people.
Music is the most therapeutic thing out there, and that’s a lot of what Youngblud’s music is about: mental health and hope for individuals. As a sign of Ozzy’s appreciation for Yungblud before he passed, he gave Dom one of his own cross necklaces. This meant so much to Dom, and in return, he made one for Ozzy. Ozzy Osbourne suffered with Parkinson’s disease for about 6 and a half years and eventually died from it in July of 2025.
Yungblud will now carry on the legacy of prince of darkness in the honor of Ozzy Osbourne.
